A Truly Unique Approach as Your Baby Name Consultant
Since launching Naming Bebe during the past year, I’ve had the chance to talk to hundreds of people about being a baby name consultant! Let me share with you a bit about the journey so far and why I believe in a differentiated approach to baby name consulting.
From a young age, I've been enamored with names. Reading yearbooks and phonebooks were my pastimes, and I would spend hours jotting down names that piqued my interest. The fascination never waned, and over the years, I discovered a true passion for baby names. As a mother of two, I understand how monumental the task of naming a baby can be, and I also know the joy and pride that comes when you find the perfect name for your little one.
I developed Naming Bebe to help expecting parents navigate the thrilling, but sometimes overwhelming, world of baby names. After witnessing many couples struggle with this decision, I felt compelled to offer a service that would add ease and joy to the process. Each baby naming engagement is as unique as the baby-to-be, and I've crafted a method that focuses on understanding your goals, learning about your preferences, and researching based on the details you provide. The result is a tailored list of name recommendations, all of which are thoughtfully selected to align with your family's unique story and preferences.
Social media has undoubtedly influenced how we perceive baby names. It's easy to feel pressured to choose the "perfect" name, especially when the names of all the people you follow are just a click away. This has only intensified the desire for a unique name. However, I firmly believe that if you truly love a name, you should go for it. Popularity should not be a deterrent if a name speaks to you and feels right for your child.
Moreover, I noticed that parents, especially those expecting their second or third child, often have a long list of requirements for their baby's name. They might want a name that starts with a specific letter, has a certain number of syllables, or complements the names of their other children. I wanted to create a service that caters to these specific needs, offering a third-party opinion and helping parents feel confident in their choice.
I've also embraced modern platforms to connect with and help more parents. A couple of months ago, I started posting my baby name consultant videos on TikTok, offering tips and advice on various naming situations. Whether it's helping parents pick a sibling name that goes well with their firstborn's name or providing alternatives for names they love but can't use, I aim to create content that is both helpful and engaging.
While I've always had a list of names I love, I've also experienced the challenge of picking just one. Naming my own children was not an easy task because I love names so much. It's this personal experience, coupled with my passion for names, that drives me to make the naming process smoother and more enjoyable for other parents.
